Diving Phuket Sites – King Cruiser Wreck

King Cruiser wreck is about 32km east of Phuket and very close to Shark Point & Anemone Reef.  In 1997 this 85-metre long passenger ferry on a routine trip to Phi-Phi Islands strayed off course and hit Anemone Reef. This ripped a hole in the bottom of the boat and it sank. It has now become one of the most popular and best diving Phuket sites  and is home to masses of fish.

Visibility – 2 to 25 metres

Currents – Moderate to Very Strong

Depth – 18 – 32 metres

Marine Life

Lionfish, big schools of snappers, trevally, barracuda, tuna, giant pufferfish, common porcupinefish, bearded and devil scorpionfish, giant moray eels, fimbriated moray eels, white eyed moray eels, banded sea snakes, yellow and spotted boxfish, batfish, groupers, nudibbranchs, Durban dancer shrimps. Occasionally whale sharks.
