Phi Phi Diving – Koh Bida Nok

Koh Bida Nai and Koh Bida Nok are two tiny islands located at the southern tip of the Phi Phi islands and about 45km south-east of Phuket. They lie within a national marine park and offer some of the best diving Phuket has to offer. Bida Nok means ‘Outer Father’ and Bida Nai means ‘Inner Father’. Their sheer limestone walls drop dramatically into the sea, are covered in colourful corals and large gorgonian sea fans and make for some fascinating Phi Phi diving. Likely encounters here include black tip reef sharks, turtles and huge schools of snappers. The majority of our Phi Phi diving day trips include 2 dives within the Marine National Park and one at Shark Point, however we also offer special day trips, with 3 dives at Phi Phi as well!

Shark Point

Shark Point is often included in our Phi Phi diving day trips, and is made up of a series of three pinnacles. The pinnacles are numbered as they head in a south direction and also get deeper as they go. Shark Point is blessed with a beautiful selection of the Giant Gorgonian Fan Coral, some as big as 3 metres, a stunning selection of barrel sponges and colourful range of soft corals and anemones. This site has a fantastic mix of marine life from giant puffers and groupers to small creatures like Ghost Pipefish and Seahorse.  Shark Point is also home to cuttlefish, Kuhls rays, as well as Leopard Sharks, that have only returned to this site in the last year after a long time away!
